As a certified professional life coach, Dania works with individuals who are seeking wholeness and healing from narcissistic and relationship abuse, young adults transitioning from high school to adulthood, individuals seeking fulfillment later in life, pastoral and ministry workers, and individuals working to overcome the intimidation of communicating publicly. Dania believes no matter the state of an individual, everyone deserves empathy, compassion, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. Clients of Dania remark on her ability to establish rapport, to show the love of Christ, to be non-judgmental and “real”, and they appreciate her supporting them in remembering their strengths.

Dania is a recurring teacher for Peek Institute Training and Professional Development, and is a presenter, teacher, and trainer at local, state, and national events and churches on child, adolescent, and adult mental health wellness, narcissistic and personality disorders awareness, suicide prevention and awareness, integrating bibliotherapy and puppetry with preschool/pre-k clients, anger management, public speaking, and biblical principles.

Dania M. King, MA, Ed., LPC, PLC, is the founder/owner and sole practitioner of the private practice Dare to Begin Counseling, Coaching, and Community Services, LLC and A Door of Hope Ministries, LLC; an event based motivational mental health and wellness company. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (OH), a Certified Professional Life Coach and licensed and ordained Evangelist with over 25 years of experience in human service, non-profit administration and training, motivational teaching, and ecclesiastical service. Dania earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University, and her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Family Life Education from Kent State University.

As a counselor, Dania has worked in office, community, residential, and school-based settings and has experience working with children, adolescent, and at-risk youth, individuals that have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence, substance use disorders/addictions, and the pastoral, ministerial, and faith-based population. Dania’s therapeutic approach consists of integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solution focus therapy, person-centered, motivational interviewing, bibliotherapy, positive psychology, and biblical Christian/faith-based principles as a means to meet the needs of individuals experiencing anxiety and stress related disorders, PTSD/trauma, emotional regulation disorders, adjustment disorders, and family/parent-child adjustments.
